Conversations with God 759 for blossoming into a flourishing life: happiness is…
I take out again, a little more smoothly polished, the 759th record of my conversations with God, written on my blog on January 29, 2021. Honestly, I posted it in my blog diary when I realized that, because of the after-effects of a serious traffic accident that could have killed me, my short-term memory kept slipping away. I know I wrote it, but honestly I hardly remember writing this. Since I wrote it, it must be there in my own blog, my own diary…
1. God is always within me
God is within me and is always with me.

2. Mom, like a flower
Hoping that Mom, too, will bloom beautifully and healthily like a flower

“Yes~ this is happiness. Having a comfortable place, children who visit often, eating something delicious and laughing happily together — that's what's good, that's what happiness is.”

3. A morning prayer of thanks
Our Father in heaven, thank you that today again I can wake with a clear mind and offer you a prayer of thanks. Thank you, thank you.
Father, now even when I speak while lecturing intensely, my head no longer spins; the health to keep myself whole continues and my recovery is speeding up. I am grateful, and grateful again.

All of this is thanks to the grace and love of the Father, who is always within me, who knows me better than I know myself and loves me more than I love myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Today's Gospel: the seed grows, though the man does not know how
Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth; you have revealed the mysteries of the kingdom to little ones. Alleluia.
He scatters seed and sleeps; the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. When it is sown in the ground, it is the smallest of all the seeds on earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.
With many such parables he spoke the word to them as they were able to understand it. Without parables he did not speak to them, but to his own disciples he explained everything in private. (Mark 4:26-34)
5. Today's meditation
I read the meditation of Fr. Thomas Shin Woo-sik in the daily Mass book and kept it in my heart.
In Mark's Gospel the kingdom of God means Jesus himself. We cannot enter the kingdom of God with human greed, desire and a selfish life. Nor should we think the kingdom of God has come through our own efforts alone.
The kingdom of God is already among us and spreads to all nations, as a mustard seed grows and stretches out great branches.
The parable of the seed that grows by itself and the parable of the mustard seed show that though the kingdom of God begins small and insignificant, once grown it is so abundant that no tree can compare with it.
The seed of the kingdom of God is sown in us and in all nations, and it grows. We live within a mystery: we do not know how that seed grows.
But today's Gospel tells us clearly that the irresistible power of the kingdom of God is at work.
What we need as Christians is to believe and hope in the kingdom of God and to move forward step by step, practicing charity. (from the meditation of Fr. Thomas Shin Woo-sik)

Lord, let us pray, awake at every moment, so that we may become people with the strength of wisdom who believe and hope in the kingdom of God and quietly practice it in your word. Amen~♡
The seed grows, though the man does not know how.
One happiness pizza made with my mother, one line of a prayer of thanks — these must have been the small mustard seeds sown within me.
Today, what seeds of happiness are growing within you?
