The Thrill of the First Lecture Room
In November 2006 I posted the schedule of our first free public lecture on the cafe. At Sun Moon University's continuing education center I taught art psychotherapy and held the students' exhibition “Paintings That Open the Heart” and public lectures for families.
In December the first Haengbok Yeolgi instructor course in Food Expressive Arts Therapy reached its fifth week. We decorated a Christmas tree with snacks and carved another self on top of Choco Pies — a time of meeting the true self.

To Universities, Hospitals and Welfare Centers
The Food Expressive Arts Therapy expert course continued in weekend intensive and evening classes, and in February and May 2007 the first holders of the FEAT Expert Level 2 certificate were born.
With counseling graduate students at Baekseok University we did a “Please listen to me” activity with flour and laughed and cried together, and with a workshop at Sun Moon University's student life research center, a DiSC lecture for new staff at Ajou University Medical Center and a lecture for parents at the Pyeongtaek Ephphatha Welfare Center for the Disabled, our field began to widen.

The Path of Sharing Learning
I continued art therapist courses at the continuing education centers of Incheon International University and Sun Moon University. The passion of teachers who came in the evening after a full day's work always lifted me up again.
In February 2009 I held the 98th free public lecture, gave a special lecture on “Applying Tarot and Mandala in Counseling” at Yongin Citizens' College, and volunteered every Monday with mandala group art therapy for women from multicultural families.
And in 2009 the Korea Food Expressive Arts Therapy Association (K-FEAT) was founded, and I became an art therapy specialist of the Korean Art Therapy Association.

2010–2011
From Army Units to Schools and Universities
I shared hearts with new recruits of the 55th Division through “Finding the Jewel in My Heart,” and ran a two-day self-directed learning coaching course in the Wee Class at Buseong Middle School in Cheonan.
Vacation lectures and teacher training for the Department of Arts Therapy at Daegu Arts University, the Food Expressive Arts Therapy expert course at EPS Lifelong Education Center in Gangneung, and a capacity-building workshop for the association's Level 1 specialist instructors — one by one, more instructors came to learn with us.

Looking back, these six years were a time of planting the seeds of happiness one by one. I did not know then that those seeds would cross the sea in the next five years.
With love, Healing Santa Kim Ji-yu
