From Nutrition Teacher Training to Nationwide Courses
In January I gave a special lecture on Food Expressive Arts Therapy for Level 1 nutrition teacher training at the Korea Education Training Institute in Bangbae-dong. The teachers asked so many eager questions about how food materials can be used in counseling.
Regular association training and Level 1 expert courses spread to Seoul and Gyeonggi, Asan and Gyeongnam, and the number of experts working with us grew greatly.

Going to America for the First Time
At the invitation of Ms. Lee Si-eun, who had taken the expert course with us in 2008, I visited New Jersey, met Principal Won Hye-kyung, and spent two weeks in New York and New Jersey.
I held a special lecture on Food Expressive Arts Therapy for the Korean community there, and an article titled “New psychotherapy proves effective” ran on page 8 of The Korea Times (US edition).

Putting Down Deep Roots
In August 2013 I led a meditation healing group with Professor Park Tae-soo at the Jeju International Meditation Center, and in December the association moved its head office to Cheonan and held its first event there.
In 2014 students at Handong University in Pohang expressed their inner positive resources as sandwiches, and the first Level 1 course in Tongyeong and a workshop inviting supervising experts of the Korean Counseling Association also took place.

New Jersey Again, and Guro-dong
Three years later I returned to the Nanum Foundation in New Jersey to teach parent coaching, and the Haengbok Yeolgi Psychology Institute, opened in 2005, moved to Guro-dong in Seoul in November 2016 for a fresh start.

The people I met across the sea had the same heart in the end. In front of the dining table, we all opened our hearts.
